Animal Match

Animal Match is a fun and strategic tile-matching puzzle game where you clear animal tiles by matching three of the same kind.

The board contains animal tiles stacked across multiple layers. You can only select tiles that are not covered by another tile. Selected tiles are removed from the board and placed into the tray at the bottom of the screen.

When three tiles of the same animal are collected in the tray, they are automatically matched and cleared.

However, the tray has only 7 slots. You must therefore plan every move carefully. If you fill the tray with unnecessary tiles, you may no longer be able to select new tiles and could lose the level.

Removing a tile also reveals the tiles underneath it. Choosing the right tiles is therefore essential for unlocking new moves.

The game features 100 levels, each designed to be completed according to its own rules.

Board and Tray

Open Tile: A tile that is not covered by another tile and can be selected.

Covered Tile: A tile that has another tile covering it and cannot be selected.

Tray: The 7-slot area where selected tiles are placed.

Triple Match: When three tiles of the same animal are collected in the tray, they are automatically cleared.

Tiles can be placed at different positions and layers. If one tile partially covers another, the tile underneath is considered covered. It becomes available once all tiles covering it have been removed.

You can lose a level when all 7 tray slots are filled and you have no usable power-up remaining.

Power-Ups

There are three different power-ups in the game:

Power-Up

Description

Undo ↩

Reverses your most recent move.

Shuffle ⇄

Redistributes the animals on the board without changing the positions of the tiles.

Remove ✦

Clears a complete group of three from the tray or, when necessary, from the board.

Each power-up starts with 3 uses. Uses carry over between levels and are not restored at the beginning of each level.

When you run out of uses, you may be able to watch a short rewarded video to gain +1 additional use for the selected power-up.

Score and Combos

Each successful triple match awards 100 points. Your score can increase through combos.

Additional points are awarded for:

• Completing a level: 1,000 points

• Each empty tray slot: 60 points

• Each unused power-up use: 150 points

If you make another triple match within 2.6 seconds after the previous one, your combo continues. Higher combo levels give you more points.

The combo chain can reach 8 levels. If the timer expires, the combo resets.

To achieve a high score, don’t just focus on completing the level. Try to create powerful combo chains by making matches one after another.

Star System

At the end of each level, you can earn 1, 2, or 3 stars based on your performance.

• 3 stars: More than 86% of the theoretical maximum score

• 2 stars: More than 60% of the theoretical maximum score

• 1 star: Complete the level

To earn the highest star rating, try to finish the level with a high combo while using as few power-ups as possible.

Your best score for each level is saved, and your total score is submitted to the ObyGame leaderboard.

Levels and Difficulty

Completing a level unlocks the next one. Your earned stars are displayed for each level in the level list.

As you progress:

• More tiles appear on the board.

• Tile stacks become deeper.

• More animal types are introduced.

• Tiles of the same animal are spread across different areas of the board.

The early levels help you learn the basic mechanics. Later levels require more planning and careful tray management.

In the final levels, up to 20 different animal types can appear at the same time.

Your Progress

Your game progress is saved on your device. Your unlocked levels, earned stars, level scores, and remaining power-up uses are preserved.

When you sign in with your ObyGame account, your progress is synchronized with your account, allowing you to continue from where you left off on another device.

The Continue option in the main menu takes you directly to the last level you played.
